Mission


The mission of the Lower Pottsgrove Township Police Department, through community partnerships, is to provide citizens within our community a safe, secure and respectable environment in which to live, work and play. 

History

The police department was established in 1951. Harry Chrusch was our first Police Chief and at the time of his retirement, 1984, the department was made up of seven full-time police officers. The department has grown along with the population of the community and is currently staffed by twenty full-time officers.

Duties 

The police department strives to be a proactive law enforcement agency. We aim to supply ample police coverage at all hours of the day and night to the community. 

Technological Advances

We also attempt to keep in line with technological advances in police equipment and also provide our officers with advanced training to deliver as much professional law enforcement services to our residents.

Proactive Residents

We encourage the residents of Lower Pottsgrove Township to also become more proactive with the police department. We are always appreciative of residents supplying officers with information on criminal activity and suspicious activity in the community.
