422 Project Update
Construction Continues Next Week on U.S. 422 Improvement Project in Lower Pottsgrove Township
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction will continue next week on U.S. 422 and Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, under an $83.6 million project to reconstruct and improve approximately 1.7 miles of the expressway and replace two bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, January 15, through Thursday, January 18, from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a single lane closure will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between Evergreen Road and Armand Hammer Boulevard for clearing and grubbing;
- Monday, January 15, through Thursday, January 18, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, a single lane closure will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between Armand Hammer Boulevard and Evergreen Road for clearing, grubbing and barrier installation; and
- Monday, January 15, through Thursday, January 18, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Porter Road will be reduced to a single lane with flagging between East High Street and Sanatoga Station Road for clearing and grubbing.
