Leaf Collection & Grass Clippings

Leaf Waste

Effective January 1, 2007, residential waste haulers who operate in Lower Pottsgrove Township must collect leaf waste. 

Collection Terms

As of January 1, 2012 our contract provides for six collections per year on the first Monday of the months listed. 

There are three spring collections:

• April
• May
• June

There are three fall collections:

• October
• November
• December

Collection Bags

Leafs must be in compostable kraft paper bags.

Bags are available for purchase at Home Depot, Lowes, Costco, Landis Market, Redners Supermarket on Charlotte Street and other local retailers.

Please put only leaves in the bags. Plastic bags will not be accepted.

Municipal Waste Contract

Residents who participate in municipal waste collection receive this service through the municipal waste contract. 

Drop Off Locations

Should residents need a disposal site for their yard waste on an off month, two local drop offs have been approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection:

Fees for Drop Offs

Both Arborganic Acres and Hetrick Gardens charge fees for dropping off leaf and yard waste.
