Important Changes to Municipal Waste Services In Lower Pottsgrove
As of January 1, 2007, Lower Pottsgrove Township has implemented the following changes to trash collection in the Township:
All residents on private streets with more than 10 residences who currently receive municipal waste services under the Township's waste contract will no longer receive these services. These residents are required to contract with a private hauler of their choice to provide trash, recycling, and other waste removal services.
All residents who continue to receive municipal waste services will be billed $62.50 twice a year in March and September to offset increases in costs to the Township. Trash payments can be mailed to Lower Pottsgrove Township, PO Box 62685, Baltimore, MD 21264-2685. At the current time we do not accept payments over the phone or by credit card for your trash service. A trash certification to finalize the billing prior to the settlement date of a property transfer is required if you are selling your home. When ordering a trash certification, please provide the property address, buyer, seller, settlement date and the $25 fee. For more information please contact Township staff at (610) 323-0436.
