Lower Pottsgrove Township
Snell & Norton Park Master Site Planning Process
 
Lower Pottsgrove recieved a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources to prepare a master site plan for the 32-acre Snell & Norton Park. The Township has established a steering committee consisting of park neighbors and various representatives of the Township and community. Simone Collins has been retained by the Township to to lead the planning process which began in September of 2009 and is expected to be complete in June 2010.
Throughout the planning process, public meetings will be held to allow for public comment. Meetings will be held at the Lower Pottsgrove Township Municipal Building (2199 Buchert Road) at 6:30 p.m. Dates for the public meetings are:

  • Programming: Tuesday, November 10, 2009
  • Complete Programming/Initial Concepts: Wednesday, December 2, 2009
  • Preliminary Concepts: Tuesday, January 26, 2010
  • Pre-Draft Plan: Tuesday, March 9, 2010
  • Preliminary Plan: Tuesday, April 6, 2010 -- This meeting has been canceled. Please review Draft Master Plan, which will be posted online April 1 and provide written comments if you have any.
  • Final Plan Presentation: Tuesday, June 1, 2010

Join the Steering Committee Thursday, April 1, 2010, 4 p.m., at the Shire Drive entrance to the park (weather permitting) for a site walk.
The Preliminary Draft of the Snell & Norton Master Site Plan is available below. Written public comment will be accepted Until April 25, 2010. Comments can be emailed to aelliott@lowerpottsgrove.org or mailed to:
